Traditional Thai high-street bank mortgages for non-resident foreigners are limited and often difficult to obtain. However, that isn't the whole picture.
Some developers arrange financing for foreign buyers on a portion of the price (for example, part of the balance due at completion), and there are specialist international lenders who finance overseas property. Terms — loan-to-value, rate and length — vary considerably and are specific to each development and lender.
